I'm Bananas For This Bread!

Once upon a time, I fell in love with a loaf of bread. The End.

I've recently been eating an abnormal amount of bananas so I've been buying a bunch (pun intended)  to keep up with my obsession. However; sometimes I buy more than I can handle. So, last week I was like; "Hmm, I'll look for a banana bread recipe so I don't waste all these delicious nanners." So, cut to, me on Pinterest scrolling until I found this perfectly simple, holy grail of banana bread recipe! I love you and care about your bread cravings, so I'm sharing the recipe below!

Prep Time: 10 Mins. Cook Time: 45 Mins.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 to 3 very ripe bananas, peeled
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar (1/2 cup if you would like it less sweet, 1 cup if more sweet)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
This recipe is super simple, and doesn't require much else other than a fork, rubber spatula and a bowl. You can mix all ingredients into the same bowl. (BLESS UP!)

Step 1: CLEAN YOUR KITCHEN! (Don't bake in a mess. It's stressful and will stress me out if I know that you're doing that.)

Step 2: Gather your ingredients and supplies onto your counter. (This way you're not running all over the place for ingredients.)

Step 3: Peel 3 bananas, toss them in your bowl and mash them with a fork until they're nice and mushy and mashy. Once mashed, pour in melted butter, then stir until mixed.

Step 4: Mix in the baking soda and pinch of salt! (I like to use coarse sea salt!) Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix in the flour.

Step 5: Pour the batter into your prepped pan. (I actually use a small casserole dish for mine, so baking times may differ.) Sprinkle Brown sugar all over top before baking! Bake at 350 for approx. 45-50 minutes or until you stick a toothpick in the center and it comes out clean!

Step 6: Once the bread has been baked, I create a butter/brown sugar mixture to pour on top! Equal parts, just depending on how much topping you want, then pop in microwave until melted.

Step 7: Make coffee, cut slice, sit back and enjoy that glorious goodness.
